Once a home’s “for sale price” is agreed upon…one of the major steps that often prevents a sale from going through is the repair report generated during the home inspection. Art and I try to keep our now 17 year almost 18 year old home in top shape. We know that the house needs to be in top shape to command top dollar as well as compete with a newer built home. In case we have to sell, we want our house ready. It is not always fun spending money on repairs and updates but nothing is worse than having a home sale fall through because the owners did not take better care of their home. I am including a realtor.com article that talks about what home inspectors look for when inspecting a home.
AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!
